Should I use standard Shopify or a headless Next.js storefront?
Shopify suits most retailers: hosted reliability, PCI compliance, and payment handling you never have to maintain. A headless Next.js storefront on Shopify's Storefront API makes sense when you need a genuinely custom front-end experience, exceptional performance at large catalogue scale, or content and commerce deeply interwoven. Headless adds cost and a second codebase, so we recommend it when the front end genuinely demands it — not by default.
Why does my Shopify store break every time the theme updates?
The usual cause is a heavily modified third-party theme. When customisations are made by editing theme files directly, a theme update overwrites them or creates conflicts. We build with custom sections against Shopify's own OS 2.0 section architecture, which is designed to survive updates — so your customisations persist rather than breaking each time the platform or theme moves forward.
Can you migrate my store to Shopify without losing SEO?
